Traditional Sign writing & Graining continued

Heres a few images of the graining with lettering that I had left to do from my last post! 
Followed by a little walk through from start to finish of another sign completed in the same theme.

All done Usiing Acrylic paints & varnish for exterior other then the lettering where enamels were used.
Materials used:
Johnstone's exterior wood primer & Acrylic Satin base coat.
Proceed glazes for the graining.
Polyvine waterbased exterior satin varnish.
One Shot lettering enamels.






               This next one had to have the old panel removed & replaced with with a marine ply

                                                                        3 coats of primer
 


With the base coat dry I then go like this.......

                                                          Then flip it over & go like this.....










 
  I  gave both sides seven coats of Polyvine exterior Varnish & painted in the grooves of each plank with a   lining brush & straight edge






                                                              Now for the Lettering

      The metal work then got primed where needed & given the required coats of  a black satin finish.
